Stage 8 – Limehouse Basin to Victoria Park

After our detour round Canada Water we continued the London Spiral north through what is called the East End of London.
Sunday April 17th, met at Canary Wharf tube (Jubilee Line) 1 pm

From Canary Wharf we navigated the Limehouse Basin and travelled north through Mile End Park, a creation of the 1990s.
The Park linked several grassy or abandoned areas into a chain along the Regent’s Canal. Its master stroke was to make the Green Bridge part of the park, with trees and pathway across the busy road: see map.

It’s a beautiful and dynamic cut through the East End, taking us to Victoria Park, which has a great area for kids to play.

Whole walk 5 miles.
Duration 2.5 hours.

Dear Tim, Thanks for letting me know, I’d love to come but unfortunately it clashes with another walk, hopefully I’ll be able to attend the next one. Best Wishes, Aruna Dutt
