From Canary Wharf we navigated the Limehouse Basin and travelled north through Mile End Park, a creation of the 1990s.The Park linked several grassy or abandoned areas into a chain along the Regent’s Canal. Its master stroke was to make the Green Bridge part of the park, with trees and pathway across the busy road: see map.

It’s a beautiful and dynamic cut through the East End, taking us to Victoria Park, which has a great area for kids to play.

Dear Tim, Thanks for letting me know, I’d love to come but unfortunately it clashes with another walk, hopefully I’ll be able to attend the next one. Best Wishes, Aruna Dutt
